TikTok Genocide

mpr21
July 6th

The TikTok Genocide website compiles and documents in detail more than 13,000 events that occurred in the Gaza Strip and other occupied Palestinian territories. It compiles daily information on the attacks, murders, and assaults suffered by the Palestinian population, attributed to Israeli military operations, with particular attention to visual material from social media.

In the images, crimes cease to be numbers and cease to be anonymous. What the Israelis are trying to exterminate is a people: men, women, children, and the elderly who have a face, a name, a family, and friends.

The project is the initiative of Database for Palestine, which has created other key projects tracking crimes against the Palestinian population: Gaza Maps, Israeli Army Leaflets, Stop Murdering Journalists, and Zionism Observer.

Each TikTok Genocide event is accurately documented: the date, location, type of crime, and number of victims are indicated (often with the names of those involved), and, where possible, videos and images showing the direct consequences of the attacks are attached. The sources are primarily local, with many testimonies uploaded directly to the internet by civilians or independent journalists.

Among the most emblematic documented cases are the October 17, 2023, explosion at Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza, which killed more than 470 people; the bombing of Al Awda Hospital; the Israeli raids in Khan Yunis and Rafah during the truces; and the systematic settler violence in the northern West Bank, with homes burned and journalists threatened.

The images are freely downloadable and playable. They are shocking and unfiltered because they faithfully bear witness to the terrorism of a state: Israel. They are documents to be viewed, studied, disseminated, and denounced everywhere.
