Hello
Over the last few years, these basic questions have become a common discussion point.
Do protests have an effect?
Are petitions worth the effort?
Does making an official complaint have an impact?
I'd say a big yes to all three.
A story that I think explains the subtle and less obvious power of protest is this:
During a hearing of the Roman Senate, it was suggested that since the slaves were inferior to the true Romans, they should no longer be allowed to dress as real Romans and be designated a special uniform denoting their status.
A wise senator replied that if this was to happen, the slaves would realise overnight their true numbers, the power they held, and that every Roman would be dead by sunrise.
This is how the few control the many.
They fear us realising how many of us think and believe the same.
The power of protest is not always about a direct result.
During the Pandemic the main weapon of the illusionists was to have everyone wear a mask. Those who wore a mask effectively wore a t-shirt that said in big bold letters, "I believe in the pandemic. I am scared. I comply."
This is one reason we designed and sold this design t-shirt.
The blue surgical face mask had other functions too.
Increased blood C02 levels cause fear and loss of rationale.
Dehumanising what makes us human, by destroying our ability to communicate through facial expressions and denying our ability to conquer fear via a friendly smile. (another reason we sold these hoodies and t-shirts!)
And let's not forget the mysterious fibers that at first seemed like worms yet turned out to most probably be hydrogel-filled carbon nanotubes.
The other genius of the illusionists, was to then have repetitive announcements on public transport explaining away our non-compliance protest.
" Remember not all disabilities are visible."
We have top hand it to them.
This only falls behind the "Cash is dirty" propaganda that lead to the landslide toward card payments.
Yes, they deserve a slow handclap.
However, the propagandists and their messaging have recently come unstuck.
A few weeks back the BBC made an unbashful attempt to contradict every word of Andrew Bridgen's key speech on excess deaths.
The BBC have just made a formal public apology and according to the Express newspaper might face prosecution.
Thanks to everyone who rallied to the call and complained.
