1 in every 246 vaccinated died within 60 days of Covid-19 shots in England, according to UK Government

The UK Government has revealed that 1 in every 246 people vaccinated against Covid-19 in England has died within 60 days of receiving a dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

To justify Draconian restrictions in the name of Covid-19, the UK Government with the help of the bought and paid for mainstream media, publicised the number of alleged deaths within 28 days and 60 days of testing “positive” for Covid-19.

This questionable method of counting Covid-19 deaths led to dozens of Freedom of Information requests being made to various Government institutions requesting to know the number of people who had died within 28 days of Covid-19 vaccination.

However, for months on end, Government institutions have insisted that they do not hold this information. Each and every single time a FOI request was made, the response received was as follows –

But all of the Government institutions have been lying to you, because one Government institution known as the Office for National Statistics does hold that information, and they have finally published it, and it makes for grim reading.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is the UK’s largest independent producer of official statistics and the recognised national statistical institute of the UK. It is responsible for collecting and publishing statistics related to the economy, population and society at national, regional and local levels.

On the 6th July 2022, just hours before Boris Johnson announced he was resigning as Prime Minister of the UK, the ONS published its latest dataset on deaths in England by vaccination status, which can be found here, and it contains a whole host of horrifying data.

For instance, it reveals that over the past year, 9 in every 10 Covid-19 deaths were among the vaccinated population (See here). It also shows that in April and May 2022, 94% of Covid-19 deaths were among the vaccinated population; 90% of which were among the triple vaccinated (See here).

But the most horrifying statistics of all to be found in the data are that mortality rates per 100,000 are the lowest among the unvaccinated in each and every single age group in England (See here).

This may go some way as to explaining why the figures also reveal that 1 in every 246 people vaccinated against Covid-19 in England has sadly died within 60 days of receiving a dose of the Covid-19 injection.

Table 9 of the dataset contains figures on ‘Whole period counts of all registered deaths grouped by how many weeks after vaccination the deaths occurred; for deaths involving COVID-19 and deaths not involving COVID-19, deaths occurring between 1 January 2021 and 31 May 2022, England’.

As you can see, the ONS still don’t make it easy for us by revealing the overall number of deaths, but with some patience and simple maths we can easily find this out ourselves.

The following chart shows the overall number of deaths within 28 days of Covid-19 vaccination in England between 1st Jan 2021 and 31st May 2022 –

 

According to the Office for National Statistics between 1st Jan 21 and 31st March 22, a total of 7,965 people died with Covid-19 within 28 days of vaccination, and a total of 62,177 people died of any other cause within 28 days of vaccination. This means that in all, 70,142 people died within 28 days of Covid-19 vaccination between January 2021 and May 2022.

A lot of people will probably argue that this is to be expected with so many people being vaccinated. But these same people won’t bother actually backing their argument up with any evidence. Because if it’s to be expected, how exactly do they explain the fact mortality rates per 100,000 are lowest among the unvaccinated in every single age group?

The following chart shows the monthly age-standardised mortality rates by vaccination status among 18 to 39-year-olds for Non-Covid-19 deaths in England between January and May 2022, the figures can be found in table 2 of the ONS dataset –

 

In every single month since the beginning of 2022, partly vaccinated and double vaccinated 18-39-year-olds have been more likely to die than unvaccinated 18 to 39-year-olds. Triple vaccinated 18 to 39-year-olds however have had a mortality rate that has worsened by the month following the mass Booster campaign that occurred in the UK in December 2021.

The following chart shows the monthly age-standardised mortality rates by vaccination status among 60 to 69-year-olds for Non-Covid-19 deaths in England between January and May 2022 –

 

The 60 to 69-year-olds show exactly the same pattern as 18 to 39-year-olds. The double and partly vaccinated have been more likely to die than the unvaccinated since the turn of the year, and the triple vaccinated have been more likely to die than the unvaccinated since February.

Every single other age group shows a similar pattern and you can read and see it for yourself here.

The argument that 70,142 deaths within 28 days of vaccination are to be expected because so many people are vaccinated has all of a sudden collapsed, hasn’t it?

But that’s not the worst of it. The UK Health Security Agency counts Covid-19 deaths as those that have occurred within 60 days of a positive test for SARS-CoV-2, so it’s only fair we also work out how many people have died within 60 days of Covid-19 vaccination.

Yes, the above does equate to 92% of all Covid-19 deaths in England during March 2022 being among the vaccinated population.

Here’s a chart showing the number of deaths within 60 days of Covid-19 vaccination in England between 1st Jan 2021 and 31st March 2022, according to the Office for National Statistics dataset –

 

According to the Office for National Statistics between 1st Jan 21 and 31st May 2022, a total of 14,103 people died with Covid-19 within 60 days of vaccination, and a total of 166,556 people died of any other cause within 60 days of vaccination. This means that in all, 180,659 people died within 60 days of Covid-19 vaccination between January 2021 and May 2022 in England.

Based on the number of people who have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 injection in England, this equates to 1 in every 246 vaccinated people sadly losing their lives within 60 days of Covid-19 vaccination.

The UK Health Security Agency has been quietly publishing a weekly report titled ‘Weekly national Influenza and COVID-19 surveillance report’ that contains mountains of monotonous data. However, hidden deep within that report are the figures for Covid-19 vaccination uptake in England by dose.

The following table is taken from page 65 of the week 27 report, and shows vaccine uptake in England by age –

We’ve created the following chart based on the figures provided by UKHSA above, showing the total vaccination uptake vs the total vaccination refusal in England per dose –

According to the UKHA, 44.48 million people have had a single dose, 41.8 million people have had two doses, and 32.9 million people have had three doses as of July 3rd 2022.

Therefore, using simple maths, we find that 1 in every 246 vaccinated people has died within 60 days of Covid-19 Vaccination in England.

44,480,115 (People vaccinated) / 180,659 (deaths) = 246 = 1 death for every 246 people vaccinated

But the above figures also reveal another lie.

According to the UKHSA’s own figures, 63.4 million people were eligible for vaccination at this point. Therefore, 18.9 million people have refused the Covid-19 vaccine in England and remain completely unvaccinated. But on top of this, a further 2.6 million have refused a second dose, meaning 21.5 million people are not double vaccinated, and 8.9 million people have refused a third dose, meaning 30.4 million people are not triple vaccinated.

If you rewind to December 2021, you may remember an infamous headline published by Andrew Neil for the Daily Mail that read – ‘It’s time to punish Britain’s five million vaccine refuseniks: They put us all at risk of more restrictions’.

Liverpool University Hospitals Heart Failure Diagnostic Clinic Referrals

Rates of heart failure were substantially lower in spring 2020, but are now substantially higher since January 2021 when Covid ‘vaccines’ were rolled out

• Liverpool University Hospitals average 41 referrals per month to their heart failure diagnostic clinics between Oct-19 and Mar-20.
• During the COVID epidemic, from Apr-20 to Aug-20 when they closed down to everyone and everything bar COVID, they had 89 fewer referrals than usual, averaging 18 per month negative excess.
• Since the COVID vaccine was rolled out in Dec-20, there have been 232 more referrals than usual, averaging 14 per month excess.
• Assuming the experimental injection is responsible, after 908,000 doses, that equates to 1 in 4,000 doses, not at all dissimilar to the widely reported 1 in 5,000 myocarditis rates.
• Curiously, when the jabbing stops, the referrals drop back down to normal (my Bradford Criteria #10, “reversibility” evidence is mounting).

Saudi ambassador Muhammad al-Qahtani DROPS DEAD on live camera

How many times have we heard of "sudden" deaths in recent months? How many times have these deaths, many of them of young people, been ascribed to “unknown causes”? There have been so many that Spanish people have coined a new term to describe this type of event: repentinitis ("sudden-itis").

What is most curious about all these deaths is that they began occur just after the celebrated jabs began. According to the MoMo statistics that have been circulating in recent days, Spain has had an excess of mortality of more than 35,000  between August 2021 and August 2022.

But there are very few times that we have been able to see one of those examples of "sudden" deaths, as it is very rare that they're recorded on video. Many are no doubt similar to that of the Saudi ambassador Muhammad Al-Qahtani, which occurred just yesterday while he was giving a speech in Cairo.

As he was addressing the audience normally, Al-Qahtani suddenly fell dead as if he'd been struck by lightning. Could this death have had other causes? It could have. But it certainly doesn't look normal.

Costa Rica Strikes Down Mandatory Vaccination

On Wednesday, the new President of Costa Rica, Rodrigo Chaves, and the Minister of Health, Jocelyn Chacón, confirmed that the vaccine against covid-19 will not be mandatory in Costa Rica.

Chaves had promised that when his term began on 8 May he would end the mandatory Covid injection policy. In his first decree after taking office, Chaves dropped his country’s mask mandate and the requirement that public employees get vaccinated.

In November 2021, Costa Rica became the first country in the world to announce it would make Covid injections mandatory for children. Costa Rica has long mandated vaccines, and such requirements are supported by the country’s laws. However, three months after the announcement, Costa Ricans were still bitterly divided over mandatory Covid injections for children.

“Today [3 August] vaccines are no longer mandatory and any action against someone who does not want to be vaccinated is a violation of the law,” the president emphasised.

 

The announcement came after almost 93% of Costa Ricans had their first dose, 87% had a second, 51% a third and 10% a fourth dose, according to the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social – the Costa Rican Social Security Fund which is in charge of most of the nation’s public health sector.

As well as the immediate end to compulsory vaccination Chaves said that there will be an investigation into the contracts signed by the previous government as he believes excessive amounts of doses were purchased.

According to the World Health Organisation, as of 29 July 2022, a total of 11,504,591 vaccine doses had been administered in a country with an estimated population of 5,2 million. The previous government of Carlos Alvarado signed contracts with Pfizer and AstraZeneca.

“We are going to investigate why it is that they bought so many vaccines when the information was that the market had been saturated,” Chaves said in his weekly press conference after the Governing Council.

According to Chacón, there was an intention of the Commission to “force people to get vaccinated to spend the vaccines,” which, at first, she did not want to believe but said that now “I see it differently.”

As of Wednesday, AstraZeneca had completed delivery according to their contract, but Pfizer had not. With Chaves’ decision, deliveries of vaccines pending in the Pfizer contract were suspended until further notice.

Foreign bodies, artificial structures... what do the Covid vaccines contain?

On June 1, 2022, journalist Clémence Houdiakova interviewed Swiss clinical pharmacist Jacques Bauer on the Ligne Droite programme (Radio Courtoisie). He recounted the discoveries he made by analysing the content of COVID-19 vaccines using a state-of-the-art microscope. His account is chilling and raises a crucial question: what do the Covid-19 shots really contain and what is their purpose? For the past several months, an increasing number of videos from independent researchers have appeared on social media showing images of the Covid shots or the blood of vaccinated people. They all reveal the same thing: mysterious foreign bodies whose origins and nature no one understands. No one in the mass media has relayed these images due to their disturbing implications.

Now, for the first time, a journalist has agreed to give the floor to one of these scientists, Jacques Bauer, in order that he describe the observations made in his laboratory and presented in his documentary several months ago (Hold Out). To do this, she ensured the unquestionable trustworthiness of the images, especially in terms of the conditions in which they were taken. We report here the content of this interview conducted by Clémence Houdiakova for the independent media outlet Radio Courtoisie as part of the Ligne Droite programme. We also transcribe an extract from the film Hold Out where, with the use of images, Jacques Baueur comments on the content of the injections.

These images are so intriguing, even shocking, that it is necessary to specify in advance the context in which they were made.

Can the provenance of these images be questioned?

It is difficult to imagine that the author of these images is not an officially-designated "conspiracy theorist", since this is the label applied to all scientists who point out how the Covid vaccines do not prevent infection or transmision, as hundreds of studies and observational data now show.

However, Jacques Bauer's resume is difficult to refute. A clinical pharmacist, associate clinical researcher, specialist in environmental health and nutritional immunology, he worked for several years at the British multinational GlaxoSmithKline, ranked among the ten most powerful players in the global pharmaceutical industry. At GSK, he successively held four positions: head of medical and pharmaceutical information, Head of Side Effects Treatment, Clinical Pharmacist, Clinical Research Associate (RCA). As such, he coordinated more than 27 clinical studies, working closely with the health authorities in charge of approving new molecules.

He is now a consultant, teacher and therapist at the Center de prévention et de santé de Colombier (Switzerland), a highly regarded medical center that houses a so-called "next generation" laboratory, equipped in particular with a vital field fluorescence microscope (VFF ) which it agreed to make available to Jacques Bauer. This unique technology enables unprecedented observations with a degree of precision never before achieved, in particular when analysing living blood and using specific dyes to distinguish its RNA and DNA components.

It is this technique that has been used for the composition of vaccines, from a single drop of serum. Jacques Bauer carried out tests on more than ten vaccine samples, at different times over three months. The experiments were filmed continuously, in the presence of six witnesses who attested in writing, before the broadcast, with certificates issued by the industry for all the images collected.

His observations were released in the film Hold Out, directed by Pierre Barnerias and presented by a group of journalists.

What do these images show?

Speaking to Clémence Houdiakova, Jacques Bauer explains that he has "seen many different things" in the last three months and that he has observed several anomalies of unknown origin, in particular during the analysis of the blood samples of vaccinated individuals. Furthermore, the analysis of the vaccines revealed: square structures found in red blood cells, clumps that form around certain cells, and the presence of the fungus Candida auris, which has also been found in the blood of people who have undergone PCR tests or who have been wearing masks.

The programme, which we link to at the end of the article, shows a brief excerpt from the film Hold Out in which we simply listen to Jacques Bauer comment on these images. in this case, the images are from a sample of Moderna vaccines observed over time. Here we offer five excerpts with a transcription of the accompanying voiceover.

Excerpt 1 – Presence of living particles and unnatural structures arranged in an organised way

After a few seconds of observation, we discovered millions of small particles that reflect blue light installed in the microscope. We see that they move, like Brownian motion. It could be said that they are "alive". Organisation is also seen. We also see here, for example, something like a linear arrangement. We are also beginning to see ring-like structures. What is it that causes such an organisation and what are the reasons behind it? That is to say, I imagine that it is not by chance that all these structures are put into operation.

You begin to notice that these alignments are becoming more consistent, as if there is some sort of driving force organising and structuring them more and more as time goes on. This is something that impressed us a lot.

The same sample was taken, that is, a drop of the Moderna vaccine, and this time specific dyes were added to distinguish between DNA and RNA structures. We also applied an anesthetic to all the living cell particles. You can see that everything is frozen, which is quite impressive. This means that everything is alive, and there is a lot of life present in these vaccines.

Extract 2 – Discovery of fungi, potentially Candida auris

This may explain why in the beginning there were originally recommendations to keep the batches at very low temperatures, recommendations that seem to have disappeared now. One wonders why. Anyway, you can really see – I've put a prism – red colors […], there's a lot of red around, and it's a structure that has been identified as a fungus. Candida auris is currently being considered, but that remains to be determined and confirmed.

[Pierre Barnérias: This beautiful fungus must affect the blood stream, the nervous system and various internal organs. This where we're at!]

These characteristic red fungi were present inside the vaccines even before the vial was opened. So it's quite interesting to look at their presence and wonder if their presence will actually help the immune reaction or disturb it in a negative way. I would be very interested to know the opinion of the manufacturers. Here we find an especially significant one. You can see here, there's another smaller one here. So it's the first time in the world that we can present these videos. We are here strictly with the content of these vaccines.

Extract 3 – 4 hours later: analysis reveals the presence of a live foreign body reminiscent of a worm

We observe more and more organised structures, more and more circles, circumferences or rings, whose profiles we had already begun to see in the first video. We are going to observe something that is quite interesting and that does not cease to surprise us, these rectangular structures that we see here. We know very well that nature is not capable of producing rectangular, square or other structures. This is precisely not the principle of a fractal.

Now we see in these shots structures that are perfectly angled, if I may say so, as is the case here, it looks almost like a little monolith or even a rectangle, and we'll be watching with interest the evolution of these structures as the video progresses, and we will see that some of them will reflect the light differently, they will move. We'll see if we find others next, which is the case, we see this ring structure again, like a black hole in a way, and then we see all these microstructures moving around, and starting to assemble and organise. We see it very well here, on a kind of highway. Look here, it's very, very impressive. We are seeing things that are much more complex . Some researchers spoke of a hydra, and this is what we found. And it is possible. Here, instead, we can see that there are bright spots in the DNA, which means that it is something living. And we think it could be the tracks of a worm called Dirofilaria.

Excerpt 4 – The assembly of the structures continues over time, and they begin to form a kind of highway

This is a nemertean, found mostly in cats and dogs, and one wonders how it can be found in a sample that, I recall, is a properly commercialised vial. Here too we see an thoroughly impressive organisation, which extends a long way. We can see very clearly that it's like a highway, and we can see that these structures that come together are not by chance. And there, all of a sudden, you have a highway junction, now it goes to the right and now it goes diagonally. It's really very impressive and you can see to what extent… Here's also another structure whose identity is totally unknown, and we see that things organise and structure themselves over time, and then you also see these bubbles that are like lipid nanoparticles that also follow a very particular line, a bit like a field, as if there were a field that is magnetic, or electric, I don't know. In fact, we realise that these organised structures have a starting point that is a round structure, which would resemble a brain.

But I'm giving an analogy, of course. It is interesting to see that these structures mean that there are communication nodes from which these information highways begin to develop and assemble. As well as being a pharmacist, I'm a clinical research associate, which means I've been working for a number of years mainly on phase 3 and 4 development of drugs, vaccines, and so on, so it's important to remember, and this is extremely important, that a “normal” vaccine, meaning a traditional vaccine as it has been conceived for almost a century, takes about ten years to develop from the moment it is conceived to the moment it can be safely applied in real world patients.

Excerpt 5 – Is there an intelligence that structures the content of vaccines? Are they really vaccines?

Look at this structure. It is still… Excuse me for interrupting you, how not to ask yourself questions when you see such structures, it is still something extraordinary. You can see the almost equilateral triangles forming around it, it's still very impressive and I'd be very interested and grateful to know what it is.

Suddenly, we were sold a vaccine that took six to nine months to develop and make available to the public, and when you see how the content is totally different from what you see in traditional vaccines, you see how there seems to be an intelligence behind it that the structure in a way that you cannot imagine, even for a second, being a result of pure chance. This means that it must have taken much longer to generate structures of such complexity, so we inevitably ask ourselves: was this not prepared a long time ago, well before the appearance of the coronavirus, or anticipating it ? And personally, when I see images like these, I'm obviously inclined to think so.

Is it too soon or too late to worry?

Square artificial structures, lined up like giant highways, creating themselves over time and intelligently ordering themselves, living organisms (worms, fungi) introduced into commercialised vaccines (i.e. not the result of a alteration or environmental contamination), blood anomalies of unknown origin… these discoveries are of concern for two reasons: what is the purpose of these “unidentified objects” and microorganisms, what is their nature and why are they not included in the official ingredients list, instead of being jealously guarded by the laboratories?

We recall in particular the efforts of Pfizer, supported in this process by the US regulator, to preserve the confidentiality of clinical trial data and the content of injections for 75 years, the same period of time as the defence secrecy under which Emmanuel Macron had placed all data related to the management of COVID.

No health institution or political body has yet reacted to the dissemination of these images. No laboratory has responded to Jacques Bauer's requests, nor to those of the scientists who remain deeply perplexed and whose discoveries are multiplying around the world. Le Courrier des Stratèges has published several articles highlighting these discoveries, notably those of:

* Pablo Campra, doctor in chemistry and graduate in biology from the University of Almería;

* Laurent Montesino, anesthesiologist;

* Laurent Aventin, a public health doctor who has produced a 30-page dossier with evidence proving the presence of graphene oxide in COVID vaccines.

The journal has also reported the statements of Professor Alphandery, author of an article published in February 2022 in the Journal of Materials Chemistry B in which he justified the usefulness of metallic nanomaterials and graphene oxide in COVID vaccines, thus suggesting its presence in currently administered shots. He wrote:

“The proposed vaccines contain several different vaccine active principles (VAP), such as inactivated virus, antigen, mRNA, and DNA, which are associated with either standard adjuvants or nanomaterials (NM) such as...graphene oxide, carbon nanotubes, micelles, exosomes, membrane vesicles, polymers, or metallic NM, taking inspiration from cancer nano-vaccines, whose adjuvants may share some of their properties with those of viral vaccines."

Is the presence of these nanomaterials the explanation for the stratospheric volume of serious adverse events recorded in global pharmacovigilance databases (see our latest study here) and the explosion of excess mortality in all countries that have mass-vaccinated as opposed to those that haven't?

Either these innovative adjuvants serve a positive purpose (i.e. they are safe and effective and every vaccinated person would no doubt be happy to know that they have been injected safely) or they are not, and we should soon see a barrage of reports against laboratories by all health authorities and governments, as these have agreed to take full legal responsibility for damage resulting from injections.

The other possibility that we refuse to think about would be for these nanomaterials to serve a more political purpose, as has been revealed by the World Economic Forum (WEF) at whose table most heads of state and ministers dine (better known as Young Global Leaders). And that is, to control what happens under the skin. This is essentially what was declared on March 20, 2022 in the Financial Times by the historian Yuval Noah Harari. Harari is the author of the bestsellers Homo deus and Sapiens and is considered today as a kind of guru, adored by Barack Obama, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates or Emmanuel Macron and by a certain personal adviser to the head of the WEF, Klaus Schwab, March 20, 2022 in the Financial Times:

“[A] dramatic transition [is taking place] from “over the skin” to “under the skin” surveillance…governments and corporations have been using ever more sophisticated technologies to track, monitor and manipulate people...ubiquitous sensors and powerful algorithms...Hitherto, when your finger touched the screen of your smartphone and clicked on a link, the government wanted to know what exactly your finger was clicking on...Now the government wants to know the temperature of your finger and the blood-pressure under its skin.

Can we imagine that "progress" is now being made without the knowledge of the people at whom it is directed, and without any knowledge of their ignorant guinea pig status?

We recall the statements of Stefan Oelrich, general director of Bayer laboratory, congratulating himself at the World Health Summit 2021 for the actions of governments in having managed to get the entire world population to accept gene-based injections:

"[I]f we had surveyed two years ago in the public – ‘would you be willing to take a gene or cell therapy and inject it into your body?’ – we probably would have had a 95% refusal rate"

It would probably have had the same rate of declared failure if the vaccinated had been made aware that no clinical trials had been carried out to date, contrary to what the former [French] Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, declared on March 26, 2022, just days before the presidential elections (on the set of the programme On est en direct.)

What is disturbing is that if current “gene vaccine” injections, and more specifically the Pfizer-BioNTech (p. 23) and Moderna (p. 70) vaccines, are "regarded as a gene therapy product by the Food Drug Administration", we know that they do not fulfill their presumed function of «vaccine» at all, with Jacques Bauer reminding us at the end of his interview for Ligne Droite (15 '30 ″) the classic definition and the modification made to it in 2021:

“It must be borne in mind that for more than a century, the definition of a vaccine was “an attenuated pathogenic substance which, when inoculated into an individual, confers immunity against a disease”… confers immunity against a disease… whereas now, since September 2021 and completely underlying, without anyone really pointing it out, we see “substance of microbial or synthetic origin, from living, attenuated or dead microorganisms, soluble substance, attenuated toxin, messenger RNA – and hey presto! Today, every individual decides what they want to do with their body, but what can be said in light of Jacques Bauer's observations is that the content of the vaccines does not conform to what the laboratories have declared. But this is probably for our own good. After all we are just children incapable of deciding what is good for us. Or we're animals making up a vast herd, as Emmanuel reminded us a few days ago without even realising the seriousness of his slip, and without realising that all of France knows that the injections are vaccines in name only:

Myanmar Junta Uses Facial Recognition Tech To Eliminate Opponents

To strengthen its surveillance capacity, Myanmar's military junta has equipped the country with Chinese-made facial recognition systems. If the junta had assured that their objective was to guarantee security in Burma and to preserve civil peace with a "safe city". The safety of democracy activists and resistance groups appears to be at risk. Myanmar's junta uses this technology to hunt down and eliminate its opponents. 

To increase its surveillance capabilities, more and more countries are using facial recognition technology such as Clearview AI software. Following the February 2021 coup, Burma was already using facial recognition technology. At the time, the authorities aimed to create "smart cities" by installing security cameras in the towns of Tangon, Naypyidaw, Mandalay, Sittwe and the capital of Rakhine State, under the overthrown civilian government led by by Aung San Suu Kyi. But clearly, this expansion of facial technology systems is all about constant surveillance on the population. A grip of power that will put down all kinds of opposition.

A serious threat to human rights

Just as China has used facial recognition technology to profile the Uyghur ethnic minority, the Myanmar junta has also ordered several cameras equipped with artificial intelligence technology from Chinese companies Huawei, Hikvision and Dahua, to impose constant surveillance on the population.

According to DW, these devices feature artificial intelligence technology that automatically scans the faces and license plates of vehicles in public places and alerts authorities to people on wanted lists.

Experts say the increased use of Chinese-made facial recognition technology endangers anyone who dares to oppose Myanmar's military rule. In March 2020, a report published by Human Rights Watch (HRW) already denounced the excessive use of Chinese facial recognition systems by the Myanmar junta.

Some equipment was placed in the townships around the capital Naypyidaw, before the takeover by the military following the coup on February 1, 2021. On February 1, 2021, the military seized power and overthrew the democratically elected civilian government led by Aung San Suu Kyi. The document said this poses "a serious threat to human rights".

A digital authoritarian regime

The Myanmar junta remains true to itself. By controlling Myanmar's largest telecommunications company, Telenor, it has also strengthened its grip on the internet, implementing censorship of online content.

There are reports that she installed spyware on telecommunications services and internet service providers to better monitor and combat online “traitors”.

One of the activists from Yangon, Thinzar Shunleo Yi, said that we must now resist “a digital authoritarian regime, at any time the junta can determine where we are and what we are doing…all our information can be exposed”. And to add that it has become “more difficult to organize a big strike in different urban areas”. According to the activist, the junta widely uses its digital power to spread false information.

Currently, the security situation continues to deteriorate in southeastern Myanmar. Indeed, several areas of southeastern Myanmar have become the scene of clashes between militants and the army, which uses heavy artillery.

According to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), since the military regime took power, the junta has killed more than 2,100 individuals. Numerous arrests have also taken place in Myanmar and more than 14,800 people have been charged and sentenced.

HRW's deputy director for Asia, Phil Robertson, has also said that the junta uses surveillance cameras to track the actions of opponents. It then plans raids to arrest and eliminate them, this being the case of 4 executed militants, namely Phyo Zeya Thaw, Kyaw Min Yu, Hla Myo Aung and Aung Thura Zaw.

According to HRW, the use of facial recognition technology is very common around the world, but is programmed for security reasons. Indeed, governments use it to fight crime. [ HRW here conveniently forgets how the categories of "crime" and "dissidence" overlap and converge in totalitarian governments, FW ]

In addition, the results are far from up to par, according to researchers from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), a center affiliated with the US government, current facial recognition systems are not always reliable and can misidentify people.

In any case, its use jeopardises the freedom and privacy of thousands of individuals. This “Orwellian” tactic, a method of general citizen surveillance, is beeing increasingly contested in Western democracies and should become the subject of parlimentary debate.
