El gobierno británico ha mantenido reuniones confidenciales para debatir la imposición del sistema de identidad digital a los recién nacidos. Lo que empezó como una herramienta supuestamente limitada al control laboral y migratorio, amenaza ahora con abarcar toda la vida de la población, desde el mismo momento del nacimiento.

La propuesta, tratada sin debate público, ha encendido las alarmas incluso dentro del propio Parlamento (*). Asignar una identidad digital a bebés no es un simple trámite administrativo: supone normalizar la vigilancia policial desde la cuna. El Estado acumula una información sin precedentes sobre la identidad, la vida y el futuro de las personas.

Los recién nacidos recibirán una identificación digital junto con su historial médico tradicional. Eso proporcionaría un inicio de sesión unificado para acceder a servicios públicos, como prestaciones por hijos, atención sanitaria y aplicaciones de guardería.

Se citó como modelo potencial el sistema de control de Estonia, en el que a cada niño se le asigna un número digital único al nacer con el mismo pretexto de “gestionar los servicios”.

La identificación digital, anunciada por Primer Ministro laborista Keir Starmer, está previsto que sea obligatorio para los controles laborales con la excusa de combatir la inmigración ilegal. Un portavoz del gobierno dijo que “el único área obligatorio del programa serán los controles digitales del derecho al trabajo. Sólo las personas que comiencen un nuevo trabajo deberán utilizar la herramienta”.

Los defensores del derecho a la intimidad argumentan que las discusiones revelan un control más allá de su enfoque original contra los trabajadores emigrantes. Big Brother Watch describió la propuesta para los recién nacidos como “una pesadilla para libertades civiles”.

Palantir siempre está por medio

El gigante estadounidense del control, Palantir, un contratista potencial debido a su experiencia en el control de las poblaciones, ha descartado su participación. El director para Reino Unido, Louis Mosley, dice que el plan carece de legitimidad democrática, diciendo que no estaba en el manifiesto electoral laborista ni fue probado en las últimas elecciones.

One thing that people repeatedly fail to understand about multipolarity is that it is not a "new Cold War," it is not a "Warsaw Pact," it is not even an "Axis."

It can be summarized as follows, stripping away the philosophical embellishments: each continent will be governed by a superpower. The various superpowers will abandon any planetary pretensions and will accept a balance – and based on this, a new international system will be built.

You would know all this if you had read Alexander Dugin. But you react wildly and irrationally the more we insist on the need to read Dugin. It's all there, but you refuse to see it.

It's not "kumbaya," it's not "imagine all the people," it's not "we are the world," it's "superpowers armed to the teeth controlling, directly or indirectly, all neighboring countries and their continentally delimited sphere of influence."

One of the big questions, however, is the status of South America. When we talk about "continents," will North America and South America remain, geopolitically, as separate continents or not? Is it one superpower in the "Americas" or one superpower in North America and another in South America?

The problem is that the solution to this question does not depend on Russia, it does not depend on China, it does not depend on India, it does not depend on Iran. It depends solely and exclusively on the only country that could ascend to the status of a continental superpower in South America: Brazil.

In this sense, beyond Venezuela itself and, indirectly, China, the great "offended party" in the US intervention in Venezuela is Brazil. And Brazil, we know, will do absolutely nothing about it and will not have any projection of power on the continent.

Not under Lula's government.

The United States boards a Russian-flagged cargo ship in the North Atlantic

On Tuesday, the Russian company BurevestMarin denounced the United States' attempt to intercept the Russian cargo ship Marinera in the North Atlantic amid a storm.

"Our civilian vessel, which is carrying no cargo and sailing in ballast, has been pursued for some time by the United States Coast Guard. Despite repeated attempts by the captain to communicate the identity and civilian nature of the Russian-flagged vessel, the pursuit continues with coordinated aerial surveillance by US Navy P-8A Poseidon reconnaissance aircraft," the company statement said.

The United States "plans to intercept the vessel soon," the statement added. BurevestMarin warned that any attempt by US troops to land the cargo ship from helicopters or board it poses an extreme danger due to the severe weather conditions. Wind speeds in the area are up to 20 meters per second with strong gusts, wave heights exceed 5 meters, and temperatures are near or below freezing.

“Any attempt to land helicopters or intercept vessels in these stormy conditions poses a grave and unjustifiable threat to the lives of U.S. military personnel,” the company stated, urging the United States to “exercise restraint and allow for a peaceful resolution through international maritime law, rather than risking lives in stormy conditions.”

According to the company, the vessel is a civilian cargo ship with no cargo on board, and its crew consists of citizens of Russia, Ukraine, and Georgia. In this context, BurevestMarin questioned the necessity of the U.S. Navy taking dangerous actions against an empty civilian cargo ship.

Much More Than a Naval Blockade of Venezuela

The United States has imposed a naval blockade on Venezuela, preventing sanctioned oil tankers from entering the region and reserving the right to seize them. But the objective extends far beyond the Caribbean nation. The New York Times articles of the past few days have made it clear that the attacks on refineries and shipping are a way to increase pressure on Moscow.

Several ships have been seized. The Bella 1 managed to escape. It was registered as a Russian vessel, flew the Russian flag, changed its name, and instantly went from being a stateless ship to being under Moscow's protection. That should have been the way out. Instead, the United States seized it anyway, no less, near Iceland.

Russia warned Washington not to touch it. Washington shrugged and acted. This wasn't about imposing sanctions. It was about testing the limits of the United States.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Russia has been cut off from Western shipping, insurance, and logistics. So Moscow adapted. More than a thousand tankers are discreetly sailing, transporting oil illegally sanctioned by the United States.

For the United States, the ships are a means of exerting pressure. They weaken the fleet, put pressure on Russia and Iran. But Venezuela's role in this equation is crucial because the United States contributed to the destruction of the Venezuelan oil industry. Sanctions paralyzed production, financing, maintenance, and exports. Predictably, Venezuela turned to China, which bought the oil, paid without using dollars, and secured its long-term supply.

Suddenly, the United States is demanding Venezuelan oil again. Trump announces that Caracas will cede between 30 and 50 million barrels to the United States, oil worth nearly $2 billion. He claims it will be sold at market price and that he will personally control the profits "for the good of the Venezuelan and American people."

The oil was destined for China. Now it won't, and that's the crux of the matter. The real objective is financial and strategic: to undermine China, reaffirm the dominance of the dollar, and fracture the BRICS alliance before it can consolidate.

Venezuela is merely a foothold in a broader strategy to return the world to a system where Washington dictates the rules and the dollar is indispensable. The dollar's absolute dominance doesn't prevent American workers from being plunged into poverty; it reinforces financial control and consolidates banks that don't hesitate to ruin them.

The United States is plunging Venezuela into chaos through sanctions and then claims to "stabilize" what it helped destroy, all while discreetly diverting oil destined for China.

The oil seizure won't stay in the Caribbean. It has already reached the North Atlantic. The next reaction is likely to be anything but symbolic. Russia and China are watching not just the tanker, but the precedent it could set. This is how miscalculations begin.

Attempted coup in Burkina Faso

The government of Burkina Faso has thwarted a plot orchestrated by the former head of the transitional junta, Colonel Paul Henri Sandaogo Damiba. The plan included the assassination of President Ibrahim Traoré, according to Security Minister Mahamadou Sana, in an interview with the public television network RTB.

The coup attempt was launched on January 3, at the same time that the United States kidnapped Maduro in Venezuela.

Burkina Faso's intelligence services had been on high alert for weeks: several barracks in the Burkinabe capital had been mobilized, and arrests had been made.

The destabilization would have been carried out through a series of targeted assassinations of civilian and military leaders, beginning with the neutralization of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, head of state and president of Burkina Faso, either by shooting him in cold blood or by planting explosives at his residence. Following this action, the drone base would be deactivated and a ground military intervention would be launched with “external forces,” said the Burkinabe minister, possibly referring to France, Ivory Coast, and even Togo.

On the night of the coup, hundreds of people took to the streets, especially in Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso. The mobilizations arose from a video posted on social media by Ibrahima Maïga, an exile in the United States, known for his support of Captain Traoré.

The government has identified Colonel Sandaogo Damiba as the main organizer of the coup attempt. His role was to design and plan the actions, seek and mobilize funds, and recruit civilians and military personnel.

The Minister of Security specified that part of the funds, totaling 70 million CFA francs (US$124,600), came from Ivory Coast. The investigation and arrests of the conspirators are ongoing.

“All those involved in this case will appear before the Burkina Faso prosecutor and will face the full force of the law. I want to assure the people of Burkina Faso that the situation is under control,” Sana added.

The government has promised to make public the confessions obtained during the interrogations of the main suspects. RTB broadcast the testimony of one of those arrested, businessman El Hadj Madi Sakandé, who claims to have participated, on behalf of Damiba, in the transfer of funds to the coup plotters and to have been aware of the plans to assassinate President Ibrahim Traoré and several military commanders. According to him, part of the funds—40 million CFA francs (US$71,200)—was transferred to three intermediaries in Ouagadougou.

The government maintains that they often used private individuals to transfer money and carry out orders, and they urge the public to report any suspicious activity.

A previous coup attempt was thwarted in September 2024. Sana declared at the time that Burkinabe civilians and military personnel residing in Ivory Coast had repeatedly attempted to destabilize the country's institutions. The coup plotters are accused of maintaining ties with “foreign powers,” referring to France and Ivory Coast, and groups affiliated with the Islamic State.

London: The Palestinian embassy officially opened after the recognition of the State of Palestine.

A new plaque replaces the old name "Palestinian Mission to the United Kingdom" with "Embassy of the State of Palestine", marking full diplomatic recognition.

The Palestinian embassy in London was officially opened on Monday, replacing the former designation "Palestinian Mission to the United Kingdom" with "Embassy of the State of Palestine," a development that now reflects a full diplomatic status.

In this context, Palestinian Ambassador Husam Zomlot inaugurated the new embassy by unveiling the official plaque in London.

The United Kingdom formally recognized the State of Palestine in September, and, in the wake of this, a Palestinian flag was raised above the mission located in west London.

Addressing senior British officials, members of the diplomatic corps and representatives of the Palestinian community, Zomlot, on behalf of the Palestinian president and people, thanked the British government and people, stressing that this inauguration is the culmination of a century-old struggle.

«This is a day of hope, a day of determination, and a day that reminds the world that peace is not only possible, it is inevitable when it is rooted in justice, dignity, and equality." Zomlot said.

In the same vein, the ambassador described this inauguration as a recognition of the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to sovereignty and equality among nations.

«This embassy is proof that our identity cannot be denied, that our presence cannot be erased, and that our lives cannot be devalued.", he added.

For a people deprived of their right to self-determination for more than a century, this is, according to him, a "monumental moment".

«Today, the Palestinian community in the United Kingdom has a home far from home, a piece of Palestine on British soil." he affirmed, reaffirming Palestine's commitment to a just and lasting peace, based on international law, an end to the Israeli occupation and respect for the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Sudan’s War, UAE Gold Networks, and the Rise of Anti-Imperialist Alliances

Even as the U.S. empire’s gaze is turned towards Venezuela, it continues to meddle in Africa. Foreign intervention is fueling a bitter civil war in Sudan, the Trump administration is pushing a line about a genocide against Christians in Nigeria, with an eye on military intervention, and across the Sahel region, anti-imperialist forces continue to rise and organize, dreaming of a united, pan-African continent that will resist American imperialism and reject Israeli colonization.

Joining MintCast host Mnar Adley today to talk about the continent is Ahmed Kaballo. Ahmed is a British-Sudanese journalist and the CEO and co-founder of African Stream, a media outlet shut down by the U.S. government for publishing inconvenient truths.

Sudan is a nation gripped by a civil war. Since 2023, the country has been in the midst of a bitter conflict between rival military factions. The country’s internationally-recognized government is losing ground to the breakaway Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

The RSF is widely accused of carrying out a genocidal massacre at El Fasher in the west of the country. Since October, satellite images have hinted at the scale of the slaughter, with some estimates suggesting up to 68,000 people have already been killed.

The RSF would not be such a potent force without significant financial, military, and logistical support from the United Arab Emirates. In turn, huge quantities of freshly mined Sudanese gold finds its way into the Middle Eastern nation; the jewelry stores of Dubai are awash with African gold.

Under huge pressure from the United States, the government of Sudan signed a normalization deal with Israel, paving the way for more regional acceptance of Israel’s colonization of its neighbors.

Meanwhile, in Nigeria, the Trump administration has been promoting the idea that there is a genocide against the country’s Christian community taking place, and even floating the idea of U.S. involvement in the west African nation’s internal affairs.

In this endeavor, he has found an unlikely ally in Nicki Minaj. The rapper (who has no ties to Nigeria) recently spoke at the United Nations, praising Trump for his commitment to protecting the Christian community there. Others have stated that while radical armed Islamist forces are indeed operating all over the Sahel region, their guns are pointed at everyone, and there is no specific purge against Christians.

These threats against Nigeria likely come as a shock to the country’s president, Bola Tinubu, who has been among America’s most servile allies on the continent. Nigeria has played a key role as the U.S.’ enforcer in the region, is a key member of the NATO-approved ECOWAS regional bloc, and has taken steps against anti-imperialist movements developing in Western Africa. Nigeria has also maintained extremely close ties with Israel, unusual for an African nation.

Tinubu spent his earlier years laundering money for heroin traffickers in Chicago, making a fortune in the process, and is widely suspected of being a U.S. national security state asset.

On the opposite side of the spectrum to Tinubu is Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso. Since coming to power in 2022, the young military leader has expelled French troops, ejected Western corporations, and aligned his country with Russia, Cuba, and Venezuela. Promoting pan-African unity and national self-reliance while surviving coup attempts, Traoré is positioning himself as a radical anti-imperialist and has drawn fire from Washington and Paris.

Africa, then, stands at a crossroads between resistance and assistance, between struggle and servitude. What happens in the next few years could decide the fate of the continent in the 21st century.

Bill Gates' multinational synthetic meat company is crashing with a 77% stock market drop in 2025

Another blow to woke ideology: the multinational company Beyond Meat, known for its artificial "meat," has seen its stock plummet, confirming that the experiment is failing. The company, presented for years as the emblem of the future of food, has accumulated a drop of over 77% so far this year, reflecting the erosion of a model that has failed to convince either consumers or investors.

The stock market collapse is not an isolated event, but rather the consequence of several consecutive failures. Beyond Meat promised to replace traditional meat with supposedly more sustainable and ethical products, but has instead encountered declining sales, increasingly narrow margins, and growing public rejection. The average consumer not only perceives these products as expensive and ultra-processed, but also doubts their supposed health and environmental benefits.

For years, the company was backed by major funds and figures in the tech global movement, including Bill Gates, who championed synthetic meat and plant-based substitutes as a climate necessity. However, the market is sending a clear signal: ideological rhetoric isn't enough when the product isn't appealing or competitive against traditional meat.

While Beyond Meat is plummeting, the traditional meat sector is showing remarkable resilience. In many Western countries, meat consumption remains stable and is even increasing, driven by distrust of food experiments perceived as artificial. For a growing segment of the population, "lab-grown meat" and plant-based substitutes have gone from being a futuristic promise to a cultural imposition associated with radical progressivism.

In Europe, the rejection has gone even further. Italy passed an explicit ban on the sale of lab-grown meat, citing the defense of its culinary traditions and its agri-food sector. Hungary has followed a similar path, banning these types of products and warning of the economic, health, and cultural risks of replacing livestock production with industrial experiments.

All of this paints a clear picture: the initial enthusiasm for synthetic meat and ideologically driven ultra-processed products is waning. The bankruptcies of insect companies, the collapse of Beyond Meat, and political decisions in several countries all point in the same direction. Far from "saving the planet," this model has ultimately clashed with market realities and the common sense of millions of consumers.

More than a simple stock market correction, what is happening is a shift in trend. Traditional meat is not only holding its own but gaining ground against a woke experiment that promised much but delivered little. For many, the conclusion is obvious: when ideology tries to impose itself on taste, culture, and the real economy, the result is inevitably failure.
